Plus I made the hat myself. Looks like I didn't tuck her ear in good.

Moomin frenzy
I am just crazy about all the cute Moomin stuff over at Scandinavian Design Center. I have told you about Little L's Moomin before, maybe he needs some company by one of these cute and fun thins. The Lamp has some extra attention right now, even the scissors are cute.

Got a peak at this cute gingerbread print from DUNS Sweden's winter collection over at their facebook page.

Love it - makes me want to bake if I only has an inkling of some free time.

Stuff & Things
- I think I am going to make some of these pillow case mattresses when we finally get around to making a playroom for the girls.
- I love the combination of Mini Rodini and Princess that this little fashionista is wearing over at Mokkasin. (the Devil hoodie she is linking in the post is super cute too.)
- These LEGO re-enacted famous photos are fun.

Dress for Mom and Daughter
I am not really crazy about matching clothes for the members of our family but I could really see myself and little L wearing these heaven (blue) and heath (lilac) dresses by Shampoodle. (But not at the same time).

Swedish PJs
Little L insisted they would wear the same PJs when she saw Baby L had one that looked a lot like hers. So cute!

Dribble Scarfs
I thought the dribble scarf/bib was a silly thing until Baby L started drooling about a month ago. I had forgotten how much a baby can drool. Little L didn't stop drooling until she was about 2 years old when her last teeth came in. Now I can really see the use for these things. I guess you could just use a bib, but it is not as cute and they tend to look very dirty soon after you start using them.
You can find the soft Geggamoja dribble scarfs at VyssanLull.com and with the winter getting closer they will keep baby a little warmer as well. After it has served it's purpose as a dribble catcher you can use it as a scarf.

Swedish Moccasins
Every Swedish child has probably had a pair of Swedish Moccasins on their feet. Swedes often don't wear shoes indoor and if they do they have special indoor shoes that are not worn outside. It keeps floors cleaner and allows little baby feet to grow the way they should.
In our home I don't ask visitors to take their shoes off, I didn't even ask my husband. He still wears his shoes while on the ground floor the majority of the time, but when he goes up stairs even he takes his shoes off now. There is usually a collection of shoes at the bottom of the stars.
It's not just because we don't wear shoes as often Swedish Moccasins are so great. They keep little feet warm and kids from sliding and falling on the floors (we have tile so this is a big one). I have read about the importance of a shoe with a flexible sole for babies who are learning to walk and a Swedish moccasin is perfect. I also like that t hey stay on baby's feet much better than socks, so with winter getting closer I think it is time for a new pair for Baby L. The best part is that they are machine washable.
Moccasins are also a little fashion statement. I really love these Lovikka inspired wool Moccasins by Swedish Moccis.

Cloud easy chair
I find this chair both practical and beautiful. It has a soft shape that works for both tall and short people, everyone will be able to find a comfortable position on this chair. It slides on a hidden curved rail for a comfortable sitting position. Even this toddler looks peaceful. It is designed by Lisa Widen and Design House Stockholm and available at the Scandinavian Design Center.

Fun Little Carachters by Brokiga
Brokiga is based on illustrations by Stina Wirséns originally created for a series of books for children and designed by Anna Hörling. The little characters has a bit of an attitude and a wide range of emotions. I could fill both the kids rooms with these fun little things. The product line with these little characters are made with high quality so that they can be handed down to siblings and generations. Maybe I will see if I can find some fabric the next time I go to Sweden.

Beautiful in Tuss
Tuss is one of those brands that I would love, love, love to dress Little L in, but she would never wear it. Right now she wants pretty pink stuff and I have a feeling it will last for a while. I think the reason I love Tuss so much is because it's a style that I would wear myself, just look at these pretty fall dresses.

Stokke Xplory winter kit
The Stokke Xplory is a fantastic stroller. Good looking and easy to maneuver. I wish I had the money to buy one. The winter kit makes baby look warm and cozy in the coldest weather. Check out this video to see it in action. You can even get this cozy looking sheep skin liner to go with it.

The Swedish Moose
The Moose is the national animal of Sweden (just
like the Bald Eagle is to the US) and I love seeing pretty Moose patters for the kids. When I was in 4th grade I was the crossing guard at school and one morning one of these magnificent animals came strolling across the street. There was nothing in the rules about what to do when a Moose came, so I just made sure I stopped the traffic and let the principal know.
I have always though the Swedish Moose it translated into Elk, but I have recently found out that an Elk is a type of deer here in north america and not at all a moose. Very confusing. You can read more about the difference between the two here.
Urban Elk is a danish brand that have pretty little Moose on just about every piece of high quality clothing.
Polarn O. Pyret also has some cute Moose stuff online right now:

I have been playing around with Pinterest lately and created a Moose board. Check it out to see more Moose things:)

Raincoat for Mamma
They got these really sweet raincoats for adults at Polarn O Pyret now. When the rain boots come in you can complete the look and with my stripe nightgown it would look totally amazing. I might be just a little addicted to the stripes:)

Simple Viking Toys

I don't write much about Scandinavian toys, mostly because I don't know much about them. I came across a cute little truck at a birthday party a couple of weeks ago and to my surprise it was a Swedish toy. I really like the gender neutral nature of the little cars and trucks. Viking toys manufacture toys that are safe, soft, strong, simple and silent and always BPA free. You can get a bucket full for only $30 on Amazon. Perfect for just about any place or any one to play with.
