Molo Spring 2012

My passion for Scandinavian fashion for kids might have started with Danish Molo kids. My older sister sent me a Molo romper with a beautiful Elk print when Little L was born and I just wanted to see more fun fashion for little girls instead of all the pink I had seen in American stores.

For this spring you will find clear blue colors in a surfer theme and all over Hawaii theme for boys. The girls can see cute poppy fields, kittens and light dresses.

Favorite Looks For Girls from Polarn O Pyret this Spring

Polarn O Pyret has come along way since their start in the US market in April 2009. I remember when because that't the month Little L was born. They now have 3 locations in Connecticut and New York. It is so exciting for me to see a Swedish brand do so well over here. But looking at what they have to offer it is no surprise. Fun, fashionable and high quality clothing for your kids, and every now and then for you too (like these leggings that I just LOVE and now on sale).

I love the mix and match colors and patterns of these Polarn O Pyret looks coming this spring. That polka dotted rain coat is so cute and looks great with the scarf and sailor top (the sailor top is already available online).

You can never go wrong with one of PO.P's dresses, and this multi-stripe dress is not disappointing. The tights are probably the best thing about the outfit though. I am definitively getting these in a few sizes and colors.

Where do you most enjoy shopping online for your family, and why?

I love to shop online so this is a tough question. With two small children, a full time job, and a husband who travels for work shopping, online is pretty much the only way I shop.

I probably spend the most time shopping at the sample sale sites like Gilt, Zulily, The Mini Social, Baby Steals and Kid Steals (and many more). Those are fun because there are new things every day so even if you checked ta few days before - you might find something else you like. Most of the time the prices are really great too. 

But I would guess I spend the most money at www.polarnopyretusa.com. I love the fun and quality of their clothes for my kids, and have even been able to get a few things for myself.

Green Cotton Spring 2012

We love green cotton's organic clothing. It's clothing is the perfect way to show that even if it's organic, it does not mean it is not fashionable. They have bright colors and fun designs fro babies and kids 

I really like the story about their logo - Fred the frog. They picked the frog because it is often found in Denmark's nature and it is green. The frog is one of the most vulnerable animals to changes in nature. And the Danish word Fred means peace.

idaT Spring 2012

IdaT's collection for the spring and summer is so colorful and cute. The hedgehog is a clear favorite, but we also really like the sheep. We have decorated Baby L's room with sheep and giraffes - I'm not sure where the combo came from, but we will always have a soft spot for those.

Shampoodle Spring 2012

We have pale pastel colors from Shampoodle this spring. Their bollywood pants are a great addition to any closet and a clear favorite of ours is the yellow dress in the last picture. A skirt with shorts is always a good choice for active girls so you don't have worry about their underwear showing.

H&M Spring 2012

H&M's spring dresses for girls are perfect for the weather we get here. Sometimes it gets really hot, and if it is a little cooler you can just pair them with a pair of tights, maybe even the stripe tights in the last picture. I love to mix patters for my little girls for a little extra fun.

I love the block stripe shirts for boys, the colors are great for spring and they have several different options.

Urban Elk Spring 2012

I am really loving the Elks new friends the Penguin and the Owl, and you can never go wrong with the classic Moose.

I love this boat pattern by Polarn O. Pyret in their coming spring collection. Stripes are also really popular in our home, and the different stripes on the red onesie gives it just a little extra fun and a heart shirt would be just right for valentines day.

As we are finally getting some colder weather here in KY, I think it is time to cheer up with some spring and summer favorites. Spring Clogs by Hanna Andersson

I am loving the clogs that Hanna Andresson has for the spring. The comfy clogs (on the right) are great "starter" clogs for little feet that are not used to clogs. Clogs were my favorite type of footwear as a kid, and it still is today. I have been sunning around in my clogs all winter but tomorrow we are supposed to get our first snow so it may be time to get out the winter boots instead.
